If you are new in the College of the Liberal Arts, below there is information regarding Penn State Access Accounts, E-mail, Liberal Arts Accounts and many other things to help answer many of your computing questions.
Penn State Access Account: What is it? Where do I get one?
If you are new to the University and in the College of the Liberal Arts, you will need a Penn State Access Account. A Penn State Access Account is a user ID and password that enables Penn State students, faculty, and staff to use the full range of Internet services on or off campus, at computer labs or on personal computers. It also allows you to use the ITS student computing labs. (Note that it does not enable access to all computer systems. Systems such as IBIS typically require a separate account or authorization.)

Liberal Arts Access Account: What is it? Where do I get one?
Once you have obtained a Penn State Access Account, you will also need a Liberal Arts Access Account to log onto our network and use our computing resources. This account is provided to you by your department at the time of your arrival. This account is different from your Penn State Access Account. You will not be able to log on and use Liberal Arts resources without this account.
If you have not recieved your Liberal Arts account, please contact the Liberal Arts Computer Helpdesk at 865-3412 for more information.
When you get your Penn State Access Account and your Liberal Arts Access Account you will then be ready to recieve e-mail. However, a technical support person will need to setup your account on your computer when you arrive. You will not be able to recieve Penn State e-mail without a Penn State Access Account.
